Each card type in the MCE has many versions of firmware available for it. Certain versions of firmware are not compatible with those on other types of cards. The following is a list of firmware groups that are compatible with each other:

Stable 5-series Release

Stable 4-series Release
As of 25 July 2010, SCUBA-2, which is the only remaining experiment running 4-series firmware, has started the upgrade process to 5-series firmware. This section will soon become obsolete.
