* Quartus II 8.0 and 8.0 + sp1 generate .pof files that seem to program the configuration device, but do not work after a power-cycle.  When generating .pof files, do not use these versions of Quartus II.  For more information, refer to the [[Quartus 8.0 .pof Generation Bug]] page.

Critical Notes

  • Always cleanly reset the MCE after a power-up or a reconfiguration! If you do not, MCE communication with the PC or Sync Box may not work.
> mce_reset_clean
  • Note that after a reset, not all of the DAC outputs are reset to zero. In addition, values written to RAM-based registers are not reset. To reset these registers, a full reconfiguration is required.
