Critical Notes
Quartus II 8.0 and 8.0 + sp1 are notorious for generating .pof files that seem to program the configuration device, but do not work after a power-cycle. When generating .pof files, do not used these versions of Quartus II. Instead, use Quartus II 7.2, or 6.1, or older.
Always cleanly reset the MCE after a power-up or a reconfiguration! If you do not, MCE communication with the PC or Sync Box may not work.
> mce_reset_clean
Note that after a reset, not all of the DAC outputs are reset to zero. In addition, values written to RAM-based registers are not reset. To reset these registers, a full reconfiguration is required.
