The following describes an obsolete procedure or component.
An ACDCU connected to an external PSU powering a MCE subrack.

The AC-DC unit, or ACDCU, is an obsolete power supply for MCEs. It took 50-60Hz 100-240VAC mains power in and produced ±150VDC out, which was then used to power the Power-Supply Unit (PSU). It can be controlled by the digital I/O on a Sync Box.
